Elena, an experienced marketer and avid health and wellness enthusiast, supports the Eative team with all things related to copy.
Elena has spent the last half of her life living in major cities: Mexico City, Miami, NYC, and now Barcelona, although she grew up in a small town outside of Boston, MA. She graduated from the University of Miami with a degree in Marketing and Communication Studies. She was drawn to marketing and communications, as she was always curious about how brands connect with their consumers through different messaging strategies. You could say that being curious is one of her biggest personality traits!
She’s worked across several industries throughout her career, from travel to real estate, beauty, and health and wellness. After working in the corporate world in NYC for four years, she realized that she did not want to be part of the big city rat race and decided to quit her job to explore the world a bit more! She ended up falling in love with Barcelona, as her mother is from Spain, and she decided to stay put in the beautiful city.
Living a healthy lifestyle has always been important to her, as she grew up eating mainly organic food, using non-toxic products, and frequenting the local farmers’ markets and Whole Foods. She always knew she wanted to pair her love for health and wellness with her marketing background, and when the opportunity presented itself, she began working for a boutique fitness brand. In 2021, after two action-packed, exciting years of working in-house at a startup, she dove headfirst into the freelancing world.
During this time, she also became a certified personal trainer through NASM, as fitness has been her biggest hobby since university. She began teaching outdoor HIIT classes with a local fitness community and, after a year, became a spin coach at a studio in Barcelona.
Elena loves being able to share her passion for health and wellness through writing and instructing fitness classes. When she’s not working out or working behind a computer, you can find her reading (usually self-development or spirituality books), traveling to warmer destinations, and enjoying electronic music festivals.
